Come on a trip along the alice loop, many lakes and rivers, caves and cenotes, magical waterfalls and incredible wildlife await you around almost every curve. The trip starts in Sayward and travels up the north island highway until we reach the Port McNeil turn off where we will stop for a quick visit to pick up lunch and fuel up the van, then we will head off on a logging road that takes one around the 100 km plus loop.

On our journey around the alice loop you will visit lush rain forests filled with wildlife like black bears, cougars, deer, elk, mink and an incredible variety of birds, a place of pristine wilderness that just beckons to the outdoor enthusiast and a wild west coast sea that is filled with wildlife that includes killer whales, gray whales, porpoises, seals, sea otters and stellar sea lions. Returning salmon fill Neroutsos Inlet during spawning season. Colonial creek is great places to view the spawning salmon, and see the black bears feeding, fall is the time to visit for the spawn. There are caves to visit and waterfalls that spring from rock bluffs to only disappear back into the rocky bluff below, there is a hidden cave behind the falls.

Port Alice awaits us at the end of the loop. This is a small community located on the shores of Neroutsos Inlet. The community is rich with unique history, and continues to transition from a once booming forestry town to a small and friendly, but vibrant rural community that both residents and visitors enjoy.
