Morton Lake Park is located north of Campbell River in the Sayward forest area. The parks is on the shores of Morton lake and also on a portion of the adjoining Mohun lake. While fishing is a pretty good reason to stay here, there are rainbow, cutthroat and dolly varden trout that can reach a a nice size, some can be downright giants available to hook into in Mohun Lake. This is not the only reason to come Morton Lake Park. During the summer months, people come here to kayak or canoe on the bigger Mohun lake or to just spent time swimming in Morton Lake with its warm water and sandy beach.

There are 24 campsites, all car accessible on Morton Lake. 12 of these can be reserved. There is a real nice day use area with picnic tables, and a wonderful sandy beach area for swimming, along with two change houses, pit toilets and an information area.

In between campsites 7 and 8 you will find a trail that will take you to Andrew Lake, its about a 30 minute walk one way. Or you can head up the goose lake trail that will take you to the narrows that separate Goose Lake and Mohun Lake, its a nice trail with great views of Mohun Lake.

There is so much to do here and so many ways to enjoy the outdoors in this park,  fishing, canoeing, hiking, sunbathing on the white sand beaches or swimming in either lake. After a day of adventure, you can relax around a campfire in one of the great camping sites and then get up early for more adventuring. here is a boat ramp for both lakes accessed from the parking area.
