
The city of Powell River (tiskʷat) is the largest community on the Sunshine Coast with a resident population of approximately 14000. There are an additional 6,000 or more people who live within the surrounding Regional District. The City is located on the traditional territory of the Tla’amin Nation.

Outdoor adventures abound here. You have the coast of BC at your back with numerous lakes and rivers to kayak, canoe, paddleboard, fish or just relax camping on the shores. There are many wildlife tours available to take on a trip of a lifetime. The ocean is ready to be explored from the harbour. There is an 8-lake, 57 km canoe route that takes you right into the wilderness.

There are many wonderful hotels, motels and B&Bs that will tend to all your needs and plenty of restaurants for all types of dining pleasures. Lots of stores to shop in as well as a great museum to learn the history of the area.
