The Raging River Cave is pretty awesome. It’s located in the Raging River Valley. You first travel along a deactivated logging road on foot, then it’s a short hike up an overgrown road, and then a hike along a trail that is not very easy to follow. All of this is worth it as the cave is quite amazing.
The Raging River Cave entrance is a fairly large opening that allows you to walk right in. Once inside, you will see a myriad of formations, a sight to feast the eyes. I have visited this series of caves more than once and will return again sometime to search out new caves.
The Raging River Cave is a sinkhole cave as are most caves on the island and fairly easy to see once you find the trail that heads there. When my boys and l are out looking for new caves, we look for sinkholes, most have no caves but those that do are easier to find this way. Sometimes with a bit of probing, you will find an opening that quite possibly leads to a significant find.
The raging river cave could connect to the deer cave, it’s almost directly below this cave, I have not gone deep enough to confirm this though, another adventure waiting for us. I have not dropped into the deer cave as yet. Funny, as it is right off the side of the logging road and just a few meters from the Minigil Cave.
