Tlupana Inlet is located on the west side of Vancouver Island. It runs off of Nootka Sound, you will also find Nesook Bay, Head Bay and Nisnit Inlet here. This is a very beautiful place to visit. It’s also a great place to kayak and it’s the best way to see the area.
The inlet is absolutely beautiful to see with the Nesook and Tlupana estuary, head bay and all the little islands, the birds and wildlife, and the mountain views are awesome, an adventure for the soul. There are several resorts here along with a few campgrounds.
The fishing is awesome with several great runs of chinook as well as coho and chum runs, the bottom fishery is good too with halibut, cod, and snapper waiting to give you a great fishing experience. The rivers that flow into the inlet are also full of trout and most have steelhead runs.
The wildlife viewing is great and you could see black bears, elk, wolves, cougars, deer and many of the smaller animals like mink, martins or raccoons. There is also a good chance to see whales, sea lions, seals, otters and various other sea animals, so bring your camera and be amazed.
