The Tlowlis Lake Rec Site is a nice little site nestled amongst a small old-growth forest stand on a beautiful Lake. This site has a cartop boat launch with five smaller sites more appropriate for tenting, truck, and camper. The lake is a non-motorized boat lake; only electric or paddle power is allowed.

Watch for a nesting pair of ospreys around the lake, they are an awesome sight. In the fall, you will see many types of beautiful mushrooms in a variety of colours and shapes.

To reach the site, travel north on Highway 19 from Sayward, then turn left onto Upper Adam Main about 10 km north of the Sayward junction. Follow Upper Adam Main for 5.5 km before turning left onto Tlowils Main. Keeping left, follow the main road for 4 km until you reach the entrance of the campsite. There are signs for direction.

If you turn right immediately at the junction of Upper Adams and the Tlowlis Lake roads and drive up for several km, you will reach the Upper Elk Cave Rec site. This is a great little cave for beginners, there is a set of stairs to make access quite easy. So camping here is pretty awesome, the lake is beautiful, and there are other awesome things to do and see here.
