Sitting Lady Falls is located in Witty’s Lagoon Park. To reach the park, just take the 1a from Victoria onto the Old Island Hwy 14, turn left on Metchosin Road, and you’ll find Witty’s Lagoon on the left-hand side just across from the Metchosin Golf and Country Club Entrance.

Head down the beach trail through beautiful forests, boardwalks, and bridges, and you will find waterfalls, hidden lagoons, and incredible beaches. Many trails wind through this awesome park, and along the way, you will see some wild, wind-twisted trees that are just stunning.

The Beach Trail to Witty’s Lagoon starts at the Nature Center and passes the beautiful Sitting Lady Falls, before descending towards the lagoon and following a fairly easy trail to the beach. The beach area is quite a wonderful place to spend time exploring for sea creatures and other flotsam. When the tide is low, you will find dunes surrounded by shallow water low enough to walk to. There are many types of birds to view here, along with other forest citizens.

We always enjoy our trips to this beautiful park, both summer and winter; the falls are awesome in the wet season. The boardwalks that are everywhere in the park are quite amazing. The creeks and falls here are great, with Sitting Lady’s Falls being the jewel of the park.
