If you’re driving to Nesook Bay, you might enjoy going into the town of Gold River before heading out on the Tahsis rd, it’s a great place to have a meal.
After your visit to the town, you are ready to head to Nesook Bay, please drive with your headlights on for safety to both yourself and other drivers. When you cross the bridge just out of town, turn left and follow the signs to Tahsis.
You will now be traveling on a logging road that can be busy with big trucks hauling logs as well as numerous cars and smaller trucks, so please drive carefully.
After traveling about approximately 20 km, you will see a sign that says Nesook Dump, turn onto this road, and it will take you to the bay. This road can be quite rough if it has not been graded recently so take it slow and drive carefully. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the log dump. Another 10 minutes more driving, and you will come to a lookout viewpoint of Tlupana Inlet. This is an incredible sight, so pull over to the side of the road and take a good look, great photos can be taken from here. You can continue on the drive for a few more km, and you will come to Cougar Creek, this is a great place to camp on the bay.
